M. Korosty is known for his series of “situations”. Forrest animals, finding the armor and sword, deciphering the story of the strange object - somewhat similar to the experience of the viewer, pondering the mystery behind the image. The image was inspired by the Jikushoto’s 14th century poem “Leave your armor behind”. The action, movement and coincidences that occur in this image are common to the approach that the artist takes throughout the images of daily objects. In his words, images incorporate animated nature, such as animals, people, and stars - they are full of motion and are capturing particular situations. Thus, something of a new genre is developed here - “situations” - landscape, portraiture, still-life and story telling is incorporated into one situation.
