M. Korosty is known for his series of “street musicians”. This one was inspired by the duet of street performers in the Jewish neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
The action, movement and coincidences that occur in this image are common to the approach that the artist takes throughout the images of daily objects. In his words, images incorporate animated nature, such as animals, people, and stars - they are full of motion and are capturing particular situations. Thus, something of a new genre is developed here - “situations” - landscape, portraiture, still-life and story telling is incorporated into one situation.
